Beyond Earth Mod of the Week: Reduced City Distance

Welcome to Mod of the Week, where we highlight Civilization: Beyond Earth mods created by the community. This week: Reduced City Distance.

Our favorite aspect of mods is how they cause us to rethink how we play Civilization. This latest mod, while simple on the surface, gives Tall players an opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone and give Wide a relatively safe try.

"Reduced required distance between cities," a new mod created by Steam user Eldrad, brings down the minimum distance between cities and stations to 2 tiles. Additionally, to encourage players to found more cities, the Health penalty that comes from erecting these new metropolises has been reduced. So, players can safely spam without the risk of severe Unhealth.
